Bag Your BlackBerry Before Beachin’ It

Ned was in a complete panic when he called us this summer, because he had dropped his phone in the lake. Since he didn’t have a bag of rice handy to dry it out in, he asked us how to prevent this from happening when he returns to the lake next summer.

He was pleasantly surprised to learn how simply and inexpensively this problem can be prevented. By placing his phone in a plastic ziplock bag when venturing out into the elements, Ned can protect his device while still being able to use its buttons and touch screen features.

Of course, he needs to remove it from the bag to plug in cords and charge the battery, but it’s a small challenge compared to water damage. Although this has helped Ned to keep his valuable electronics dry, he’s still considering investing in a hard case for the iPad he keeps dropping.
